The Entikong border crossing is 317 km north of Pontianak, or 3 hours south of Kuching.
Sanggau’s numerous and worthwhile destinations make it one of West Kalimantan’s most popular tourist areas. It is accessible by bandong (riverboat), airplane, local buses, or international buses from Pontianak and Kuching. Facilities range from basic to luxurious, with most of the hotels and restaurants being located near the centre of town. Every year the Dayak community holds its traditional harvest festival, the GAWAI, where participants dress in traditional clothing, perform indigenous dances, and celebrate their cultural heritage with other traditional events.
When arriving from Malaysia, the Entikong Gateway is the first place visitors see when they enter West Kalimantan.
